Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa

Arrive in Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia.

Check into your hotel and rest after your journey.

Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore some of Addis Ababa's attractions, such as the National Museum, Holy Trinity Cathedral, or the Merkato, one of the largest open-air markets in Africa. Overnight in Addis Ababa.

Day 2: Addis Ababa to Awash National Park

After breakfast, depart from Addis Ababa towards Awash National Park, located approximately 225 kilometers east of the capital.

Upon arrival, check into your accommodation inside or near the park.

In the afternoon, embark on a game drive through the park, where you can spot a variety of wildlife, including oryx, kudu, baboons, and numerous bird species. Visit the scenic Awash Falls, a beautiful waterfall located within the park. Enjoy a traditional Ethiopian dinner at your lodge. Overnight in Awash National Park

Day 3: Awash National Park

Start your day with an early morning game drive or nature walk, offering excellent opportunities for wildlife and bird watching, especially during the cooler hours of the day.

Visit the Filwoha Hot Springs, where you can relax and enjoy the natural thermal waters.

After lunch, you can choose to explore more of the park on another game drive or take a guided hike to discover the park's diverse flora and fauna.

Spend another night in Awash National Park.

Day 4: Awash National Park to Harar

Depart from Awash National Park after breakfast and head towards the ancient city of Harar, located approximately 275 kilometers east of Awash.

Upon arrival in Harar, check into your hotel and freshen up.

In the afternoon, explore the vibrant streets of Harar, known for its rich history, colorful markets, and unique cultural heritage.

Visit the historic walled city, including attractions such as the Harar Jugol, Arthur Rimbaud House, and the Hyena Man performance.

Experience the traditional Harari cuisine for dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight in Harar.

Day 5: Harar City Tour and Departure

Begin your day with a guided tour of Harar, including visits to the vibrant markets, mosques, and historic landmarks.

Explore the Harar Museum to learn more about the city's fascinating history and culture.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, savouring the delicious flavours of Ethiopian cuisine.

After lunch, depart from Harar and drive to Dire Dawa, which is approximately a 1:40min journey. And take your flight back to Addis Ababa

Depending on your flight time, you may have the opportunity for a farewell dinner in Addis Ababa before transferring to the airport for your onward flight or continuing with your travel plans.
